The SME Assist initiative will provide free, practical and useful online resources that answer many of the basic questions often asked of the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) by small businesses in the dental industry.

Businesses across the dental industry gain a new support of advice and guidance with the launch of the SME Assist initiative by the TGA.
The SME Assist service provides free, practical and useful online resources that answer many of the basic questions often asked of the TGA by businesses in the dental industry. There will be phone and email support from a dedicated team to help people with specific questions or more complex queries. It can be accessed via the link below.
TGA SME Assist Portal —
The SME Assist portal contains articles that assist businesses in the dental industry understand what medical devices are, what the obligations of business are, how the TGA regulates and where they can go for help.
The launch of this initiative follows sustained advocacy by the Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) that has let stakeholders from across government know that business in the dental industry need greater assistance when navigating their way through 1,069 pages of legislation that the TGA uses regulate the manufacturing and supply of dental products.
Member Engagement —
On matters associated with dental product regulation the team in the ADIA national office receives advice and guidance from members serving on the ADIA-DRC Dental Regulation Committee.
